CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – SIUE golf moved up two spots at the OVC Championship. The Cougars took 18 strokes off their score for a second-round 282.
SIUE is tied with Southern Indiana at 582 (+6). Little Rock continues to lead the way at 16-under. UT Martin and Lindenwood are each seven-under. Morehead State is four-under in fourth place.
Brady Kaufmann and Alex Eickhoff each made big jumps in the second round. Kaufmann is now tied for eighth at two-under. Eickhoff is one-over and is tied for 16th. Brent Reintjes moved up three spots and is tied for 24th at three-over. Will Simpson is six-over and currently is 37th. Preston Bily (+13) is tied for 47th.
Little Rock's Rhett South is seven-under and has a one stroke lead on UT Martin's Jonathan Xonis for the individual lead.
SIUE will pair with Southern Indiana and Morehead State in the final round of stroke play Tuesday. If the Cougars finish in the top four, they'll advance to the match play portion of the tournament Wednesday.
