PADUCAH, Ky. – For the second year in a row, SIUE golf is the champions of the Carpenter/Chaney Match Play Challenge.

It is the fourth tournament win of the year for SIUE, which is a first in school history.

The Cougars defeated UT Martin 4-2 in the final round after knocking off Bellarmine 6-0 in Round 1. Preston Bily, Parker Bruening, Brent Rientjes and Alex Eickhoff each won two matches on the day. Brady Kaufmann and Will Simpson both split their two matches.

The Cougars are next in action at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship which gets underway Sun., April 20 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
