LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – SIUE golf wrapped up its fall season Tuesday, completing play at the Everett Buick GMC Classic hosted by Little Rock.
The Cougars shot rounds of 306-283-297 (886). SIUE tied for 12th with Kansas City. Host Little Rock won the event at 838 (-26). South Carolina was 14 shots back in second place.
Alex Eickhoff led the Cougars individually, shooting a three-under 213 to tie for 11th. Brady Kaufmann finished at three-over and tied for 33rd. Brent Reintjes tied for 71st at 229. Will Simpson tied for 79th and Max Bruening tied for 84th.
Troy's Jake Springer claimed Individual Medalist honors with a 12-under 204. Ball State's Carter Smith, who was playing as an individual, finished as the runner-up at 11-under.
The Cougars will break from competition until February when they resume their schedule with the Loyola (Maryland) Intercollegiate.
