MIMS, Fla. – SIUE wrapped up its first outing of the spring with a 4-1-1 win over Omaha in the team's final match of the Carpenter-Chaney Match Play Classic.

Brooks Jungbluth defeated Josh Bartels 3&2. Anthony Ruthey knocked off Josh Peters 5&3. TJ Baker and Brady Kaufmann each won matches 1 Up. Baker defeated Kurtis Rodriguez while Kaufman triumphed over Connor Wilson. Luke Ludwig, who won a pair of matches Friday halved his match with Nolan Johnson.

The Cougars will next travel to Goodyear, Arizona for the Loyola Intercollegiate, hosted by Loyola-Maryland, Feb. 26-28.
