• With better weather conditions forecasted for Friday and Saturday, SIUE and UT Martin have moved their series up.
• The Cougars are returning from an eight-game road swing and will have the next two weekends at home. A road doubleheader at Eastern Illinois is sandwiched between the series against UT Martin and Southeast Missouri.
• The 2020 SIUE softball senior class, which included Sydney Bina, Amara Wylie, Kalei Kaneshiro, Conner Cutright, Abby Marlow and Reagan Curtis, will be honored between games Saturday.
• SIUE is ranked fourth in the OVC in doubles with 48. Lexi King leads the team in doubles with nine. Nine different players have three or more doubles this season.
• Grace Bretveld is third in the OVC in times hit by a pitch per game (0.27). She is ranked 47th nationally.
• Mia Haynes leads the OVC in saves with two. She also leads the Cougars in strikeouts with 84. Haynes threw a no-hitter earlier this season at Louisiana Tech.
• Lexi hit better than .500 last weekend and now leads the offense in hitting with a .357 batting average. She also is tops on the team in hits (46) and stolen bases (9).
• Grace Lueke holds a .616 slugging percentage for the season. That includes six doubles and a team-leading nine home runs.
• Freshman Lauren Yslava is second on the team in hits (40).
