• SIUE is coming off a three-game sweep of Tennessee State last weekend and a midweek loss at Missouri.
• The Cougars are in the middle of an eight-game road trip. That includes a pair of three-game Ohio Valley Conference series at Western Illinois and Eastern Illinois.
• SIUE recorded 10 OVC wins all last season and now hold a 13-4 record in OVC play. There are nine OVC games left on the schedule for the Cougars.
• Avery Arwood was named the OVC Pitcher of the Week last week after recording a shutout over Southern Indiana, a shutout over Tennessee State and a start/relief win over Tennessee State.
• Emma Henderson added two home runs last week and became the seventh different player in school history to record 10 home runs in a season. She is tied for seventh all-time with Alex McDavid (2013).
• The Division I era home run record for the Cougars is 12 by Grace Lueke (2022).
• Emma Henderson needs one more RBI to join the top 25 RBI producers in a single season. She has 38. The overall school record is 61. The most since the Cougars started Division I play is 43 by Alex McDavid (2013).
• Kaylynn Salyars leads the offense in batting average (.388), OPS (1.034) and hits (47).
• SIUE has five starters batting .300 or better, including Salyars, Anna Henderson (.310), Lauryn Yslava (.308), Piper Montgomery (.308) and Kaylin Fahy (.301).
• Montgomery leads the OVC in walks with 24.
• SIUE (13-4) is in sole possession of second place in the OVC behind Eastern Illinois (14-3). Southeast Missouri is third (12-5).
• SIUE is 18-0 when leading after the fourth inning. The Cougars also are 18-0 when scoring six or more runs in a game.

Next Up: The Cougars travel to Macomb, Illinois, for a three-game series against OVC rival Western Illinois on Friday and Saturday.
