Three SIUE Golfers Among Top 20 at EKU

Final Results

RICHMOND, Ky. – Tanner Collins finished fourth and two other SIUE golfers finished in the top 20 as SIUE wrapped up play at the EKU Intercollegiate Sunday.

The Cougars shot a final-round 291 and slipped to ninth place. Northern Kentucky won the team title with an even-par 840.

Collins, a true freshman playing as SIUE's individual, finished just three strokes off the lead with a 211 (+1). Northern Kentucky's Joseph Clark and Avery Green shared medalist honors at two-under 208.

Albert Nilsson and Peder Lehmann Brunnsjö tied for 20th at 215 (+5). Parker McEachern, the Cougars' other individual player, shot an even-par 70 in the final round and tied for 28th at 216. Brooks Jungbluth tied for 30th at 217. Presley Mackelburg tied for 54th with a 224. Anthony Ruthey finished at 226 and was 57th.  

SIUE now will play host to 18 teams Sept. 23 and 24 for the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invitational presented by DoubleTree Hotels at Gateway National Golf Links.
