EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE men's soccer standouts Stephan Moreira (Colchester, England), Nic Muench (Heidelberg, Germany), Bobby Pauly (St. Charles, Missouri), Yasha Schaerer (Zurich, Switzerland) have been honored for their academic achievements.
All four players have been named to the 2024 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Moreira has seven points coming on a goal and five assists, which ranks sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference this season. He has a 3.67 grade point average in Business Administration.
Muench, a First Team All-OVC selection, is fourth in scoring with nine points on three goals and three assists. Muench holds a 3.90 GPA in Business Administration.
Pauly has started all 19 games on SIUE's defensive back line. He has a 3.77 GPA in Exercise Science.
Schaerer, the OVC Midfielder of the Year is the team's leading scorer with 15 points on three goals and a league-high nine assists. He is undeclared and holds a 4.0 GPA.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
