NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Senior setter Alyse Drifka recorded her 2,000^th career assist in the first set of the match. Drifka led the team with 32 assists and contributed 16 digs.
 
SIUE fell 2-3 against Tennessee State to close out the two game series. The Cougars won sets two and four (25-21, 25-20), while the Tigers took sets one, three, and five (25-21, 25-23,15-11).
 
As a team, the Cougars had 64 kills, seven service aces, 11 blocks, 60 assists, and 44 digs, compared to the Tigers' 59 kills, six service aces, 53 assists and 49 digs.
 
Inside The Numbers:

• Senior Corinna Jones contributed 21 of the team's 60 assists.
• Senior Sydney Hummert led the team with 19 kills, hitting at a .371 hitting percentage, and added three block assists. Nicole Medlin followed with 15 kills at a .565 clip. And contributed five block assists.
• Ainsley Ranstead and Kyndia Smith matched each other with nine kills.
• Taya Nordmann recorded six kills with three errors on 16 attempts, hitting at a .188 percentage. She also contributed two solo blocks along with four block assists.
