GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY
The 2017-18 season marks the 50th season of SIUE men's basketball. The men's basketball program began with the 1967-68 season, the first of three under the late Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer
Harry Gallatin.

Jon Harris is in his third season at the helm of the Cougars. The native of Edwardsville, Illinois, is 19-59 overall.
TONIGHT
SIUE is seeking to snap a three-game losing streak. The The Cougars have not had a losing streak longer than four games this season. SIUE has dropped four of its last five games.
LAST TIME
SIUE got off to a slow start and never recovered Thursday, falling to Tennessee State 85-57. The Cougars missed their first four shots, and hit just one of their first nine attempts from the field. Tennessee State drained 17 of 29 (58.6 percent) of its shots in the half and led 42-19 at the break. The 23-point deficit was the largest the Cougars have faced at halftime this year. The 19 points are the fewest in a half for the Cougars in exactly a year. Tennessee State held the Cougars to 18 first-half points last season in Edwardsville. SIUE turned the ball over 13 times in the first half leading to 17 points for TSU. The Cougars scored 38 second-half points on 11-of-23 shooting, including three 3-pointers.

SIUE has not beaten Belmont in six previous tries. the Bruins won the earlier matchup this season, 76-61, in Edwardsville Jan. 11.
