SIU Edwardsville's wrestling season came to a close Sunday at the NCAA II Midwest Regional in Edmond, Okla. Only the top four in each of the 10 weight classes advance to the NCAA Championships.
         Joe Rujawitz, who ends the year with a team-high 36 wins at 149 pounds, posted two victories in the consolation bracket of the tournament. He lost the fifth-place match to Carson-Newman's Manny Aguilera by a 4-3 decision.
         Steve Chico, a 133 pounder, pinned Truman State's Steve Cox in 5:05 in his second match of the day. He was elimated by injury default to Indianapolis' Mike Smith.
         Pat Healy picked up a win in the 174-pound bracket, defeating Zach Goldsberry of Indianapolis.
         Sean Tyus posted a 3-2 record in the 197-pound weight class. He defeated Jon Horman of Truman State for a fifth place finish in the division.
         Host Central Oklahoma took home its 15th consecutive Midwest Regional title with 115.5 points. SIU Edwardsville finished ninth in the Regional with 20.5 points.          -siue cougars-
