Missouri-St. Louis' Ebony Halliburton poured in a career-high 33 points to lead Missouri-St. Louis past SIU Edwardsville 75-69 in women's basketball action at the Vadalabene Center Thursday.
         Halliburton shot 7-12 from the field and was a perfect 3-3 from 3-point range. She connected on 16 of 20 free throws.
         Missouri-St. Louis (7-3, 2-3 GLVC) jumped out to a quick 11 point lead in the first half, only to have the lead fall to only three at halftime.
         SIU Edwardsville (5-5, 2-5 GLVC) grabbed the lead for the first time at 14:31 in the second half, and led by seven with 8:49 remaining in the game.
         However, Halliburton would connect on 12 free throws down the stretch to give Missouri-St. Louis the victory.
         SIU Edwardsville was paced by Ruth Kipping (Quincy) who had 20 points. LaKesha Cole (East St. Louis) and Jessica Robert (Carlyle) had 15 and 10 points, respectively.
         Missouri-St. Louis received 13-point contributions from Alicia Ordner and Jessica Woods.
         SIU Edwardsville will return to action Saturday when they play host to Southern Indiana at the Vadalabene Center. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m.
